Again in 2024, we will start the year with a Multicultural New Year’s Get-Together / ‘Nytårskur’ for Multicultural members and friends of Multicultural!

During the New Year’s Get-Together, Karina Trebbien will tell us about leaving Denmark and going abroad, living abroad for 20+ years and coming back home. About working and getting used to the culture in four different countries on three continents. And also in the helping and roll-out of huge Christmas markets in Hong Kong and Hamburg.

Karina Trebbien has a Master of Business Administration, MBA from Henley Business School and has worked as a manager and advisor within business development, sourcing, supply chain, procurement, strategy, global market expansion and project management.

Further, Karina was Board member in the Danish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong responsible for sub-Committee; design events, innovation, Danish export promotion, Expo Shanghai and social events.

Karina is very experienced in Christmas markets, as she for years has participated very actively in the Christmas Bazaar in the Danish Seamen’s Church in Hong Kong. In addition, Karina was an active sailor in the dragon fleet and sailed for the Hong Kong Team in Interports and e.g., has sailed with members of the Danish royal family.

Today Karina has her own company which supports handicrafts from vulnerable women. For example, Karina has worked with Sheworks, which is a prominent textile design studio in Kolding. Handmade cushion, wall decorations and bags are made from residual materials from a furniture company by talented multicultural women artisan. Sheworks empower women by giving them a platform to showcase their skills and creativity (sheworks.dk).
