Dear Multiculturals,

Meet Line Gessø Hansen who is Member of the Executive Committee in the European Women’s Lobby.

Line says: “Women’s rights are being challenged throughout Europe. The Istanbul convention is threatened since Turkey abandoned it in 2021 and violence against women has been rising since the pandemic lockdown. There’s an ongoing need for supporting the women of Europe.”

The European Women’s Lobby is engaged in successful lobbying and campaigning to shape legislation, policy and actions of European institutions and member states. It is seeking influence on a number of issues, e.g. violence against women, women’s economic independence, refugee women and gender budgeting (https://womenlobby.org).
